International Security Situation in 2020:Turbulence,Disorder and Overlapped Risks

摘要 The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 brings an all-round impact to global politics,and the international security situation witness obvious ups and downs,as well as various risks overlapping and increasing challenges.The U.S.Trump administration intensified unilateralism and power politics,and stubbornly pursued a policy of great power competition.The security structure such as international arms control mechanism and others are severely affected,and international security cooperation severely hampered.Traditional and non-traditional security issues influence and transform each other,disorder and uncertainty in international security become more evident.Local conflicts heat up alternately and are difficult to calm down,the international security governance faces various challenges.Progress in military science and technology accelerates,strategic thinking becomes more active,and the warfare is evolving towards information-based and intelligent warfare.In a turbulent and disordered world,the international community needs to build broad consensus,actively promote security cooperation,and strive to find effective ways and means to defuse tensions and disputes,as well as eliminate wars and conflicts,so as to maintain basic strategic stability and realize sustainable security.
