《洁园展禊图》及其画作者考释

Drawing of Party at Xiyuan Garden and Its Painter

此画为清同治十一年春,张力臣邀请清末文坛诸位名人在其长沙洁园寓所聚会之际,画家张名倬精心绘制,题有诗咏。画作内容为张力臣在洁园中与诗友们谈学论道、品酒佳肴的场景,画中人物皆为当时学界名流。此画作者张名倬运用手中画笔,很好地保留下了这些名人的肖像,极为珍贵。卷内后附有参会人员的诗赋以及陈宝箴、王闿运、八指头陀等人的题跋,流传有序,非常罕见。

This painting,inscribed with poems,was painted in the spring of the 11th year of the reign period of Qing Emperor Tongzhi,when Zhang Lichen invited the literary celebrities of the late Qing Dynasty to gather in his residence–Xiyuan Garden,Changsha,and invited Zhang Mingzhuo to paint the scene carefully.The content of the painting is a scene of Zhang Lichen talking about academics and tasting wine and delicacies with his poet-friends in the Xiyuan Garden.The figures in the painting are all academic celebrities at that time.The painter Zhang Mingzhuo used his brush to record the portraits of these famous people,making the painting very precious.It was rare to see such a well-recorded painting with poems written by the participants of the party and inscriptions by Chen Baozhen,Wang Baoyun and Bazhitoutuo.
