战国楚墓出土遣策所记的兵器“戈”

“Dagger-axe”as Recorded in Inventories of Burial Objects from Chu Tombs of the Warring States Period

战国楚墓出土的竹简遣策中,兵器“戈”的记录格式,除了常见的“数字+戈”表示所记戈的数量之外,有的还记录戈的材质与形制。对比遣策所记与实际出土的“戈”,有的可以完全对应,有的存在出入,而样本统计的差异,可能是由于墓葬被盗与出土遣策简不同程度的残损所致。大概是因为遣策与戈铭的性质不同,故记录“戈”的格式亦有差异。

Among the different formats in recording the weapon“dagger-axe”in inventories of burial objects unearthed from Chu tombs of the Warring States period,apart from the commonly-seen“number+dagger-axe”format to record the number of dagger-axes,there are also some formats recording the material and shape of each dagger-axe.When the dagger-axes as recorded in the inventories of burial objects are compared with those actually unearthed,it is found that some do match with each other while others show differences.This might be the result of the looting of tombs and the different state of damage of the inventories at the time of excavation.The different formats adopted in recording dagger-axes could have been resulted from the different nature of the inventories and the inscriptions on the dagger-axes.
