This paper highly affirms the important position of Han lacquer art in the material culture of the Han dynasty,introduces the main contents of Collation and Study of Lacquerware from the Han Tombs at Mawangdui–the fruit of a National Social Science Fund project,summarizes the such prominent features of the book as affluent and objective materials,innovative research methods and significant research results obtained,and believes that Collation and Study of Lacquerware from the Han Tombs at Mawangdui is a paragon of Han dynasty lacquerware research.
