Chariots and Related Objects in the Inscriptions on Qin Slips from Liye

湖南湘西出土的里耶秦简,数量巨大,内容丰富。其中,有部分竹简记载了车名及车马器物,数量虽然有限,仍可与战国楚简、睡虎地秦简,以及传世文献等资料进行对照。这些记载对于先秦车马器物及制度的研究来说,都十分重要。

The Qin bamboo slips from Liye,huge in number and rich in content,are unearthed in Western Hunan.Among them,some have records of chariot terms and objects related to horses and chariots.These records,though limited in extent,can still be used for comparison with Chu slips of the Warring States Period,the Qin slips from Shuihudi,and other historical documents.These records are very important for the study of pre-Qin horse and chariot implements and the ritual system.
