Huayao cross-stitch is an intangible cultural heritage that shines with the light of human wisdom.It uses needles as pens and threads instead of ink on the fabric,and forms exquisite patterns by accumulating threads,these patterns reflect HuaYao’s unique ethnic minority cultural connotation and aesthetic taste.Based on the inheritance and innovation of HuaYao cross-stitch,this paper combines it with Chinese zodiac culture,and introduces the image design methods of new cultural creativity from the aspects of element extraction,carrier selection,color matching,pattern integration,so as to provide reference for the inheritance and innovation of different types of intangible cultural heritage and the integration design of cultural creation products.
