A traditional dish in Chengdu, southwest China’s Sichuan Province, pea-soup rice is a delicacy that many locals are familiar with since their childhood. It is made with peas, mincemeat, chicken soup, chopped onions and rice. As described in an old folk lyric, during a spring trip to Chengdu it is the pea-soup rice that ensures you to linger on;this is how much the treat is valued.
