日本汉学家泷川龟太郎对《史记》研究的贡献

在学界眼中,日本汉学家泷川龟太郎至少有三种形象。中国学界眼中的泷川,对《史记》的研究有贡献,但又因其研究多有谬误而常常受到质疑。日本学界眼中的泷川,不论是作为老师还是作为学者都备受尊崇,泷川的《史记》版本更是取代了《史记评林》,成为日本大多数《史记》研究和翻译的底本。欧美学者眼中的泷川,有着极为崇高的学术地位,其《史记》版本亦是欧美学者翻译与研究《史记》的重要参考文献。这三种泷川形象,反映着中国学界、日本学界和欧洲学界对泷川《史记》研究的不同评判和不同程度的接受与认可。但无论如何,泷川龟太郎对《史记》的研究做出了极大的贡献,其著作在当今的《史记》研究中已不可或缺。

In the sinological circles there are at least three personas of Takigawa Kametarō that many scholars identify with.The first is the“Chinese Takigawa”.This persona made modest contributions to the study of the Shiji,but actually made so many errors that the value of his work can be called into question for serious study of the Shiji.The second Takigawa,the Japanese persona,is revered for accomplishments as both a teacher and a scholar,for Takigawa's edition has supplanted the Shiki hyorin史记评林(Shiji pinglin)as the base text of most studies and translations of the Shiji in Japan.The third Takigawa lives in the works of European and American scholars,and he is highly praised by Western scholars for his most significant reference influence.These three distinct images of Takigawa reflect the different reactions and different degrees of receptions of his studies on Shiji by Chinese,Japanese and European academic circles..That is,Takigawa Kametarō made great contributions to the study of Shiji,and his works have become indispensable in today's Shiji study.
