This article reviews the translations,introductions and transmissions of Tao Te Chingin Russia,and analyses the advantages and disadvantages of the versions of academic and folk translations in every period respectively,which shows that the increasingly expansive influence of Tao Te Chingin Russia as well as the different spiritual demands from different reader groups.Learning about the history and the current situation of Tao Te Ching in Russia would help get the history of ideological and cultural exchanges between China and Russia and recognize some regular phenomena in cultural exchanges and clashes.
