诗以道志体现了庄子对待传统的推陈出新的明道思想,得意忘言表达了庄子求真重理的理性判断,据形取象是庄子齐物体道的建构方式,绝圣弃智是庄子的创新理论与开放思维,至乐神听是庄子对文艺感受的理想概括。庄子以道为本、以德为体构成的文艺思想,是对西周以来的道德观念进行的科学哲学的阐释,更加符合创作实际,今天仍有一定的理论价值。

To exhibit one’s ambition and thoughts through poetry shows that Zhuang Zhou’s thoughts of realization of Tao is to usher in the new from the old."The meaning being already known,one’s words are therefore no more necessary"shows Zhuang Zhou’s reasonable judges to seek truthiness.Setting the images according to the lineament is Zhuang Zhou’s way to realize Tao through equalization of things.Eliminating all saints and abandoning wisdom is his theoretical innovation and open-mindness.His thoughts of the highest joy and listening with spirit show his ideal summary for the artistic feeling.Zhuang Zi regards Tao as the essence,and morality as the body.He created his literary theory to scientifically and philosophically elaborate the morality since West Zhou Dynasty.His theory fits the creative reality and still bears theoretical value this day.
