When thinking quality becomes one of key competences in English subject core literacy,teaching reading and writing has been an important way to cultivate and develop students'thinking quality.This article,by taking the reading and writing course of the English textbook for junior high school as an example,tries to explore effective strategies to cultivate and develop students'thinking quality in reading and writing teaching,so as to promote the continuous improvement of students'reading and writing ability.
