20世纪五六十年代的城市卫生防疫中,作为基层组织的街居承担着街道卫生活动的组织领导工作。为使卫生防疫工作顺利开展,街居以依托基层卫生组织、重视卫生宣传教育、强化典型示范引领为着力点,进行了广泛宣传和有效动员。这一时期的街居卫生防疫工作,不仅使城市整体卫生面貌有了极大改观,并在基层卫生组织多层级化建设、基本卫生制度形成与完善、群众卫生意识增强与卫生习惯养成等方面取得了显著成效,为之后的城市卫生治理奠定了组织、制度和观念的基础。

In the 1950s and 1960s,in China's urban health and epidemic prevention,street community and residential committee as grass-roots organizations undertook the organization and leadership of various health activities.In order to make the health and epidemic prevention work go smoothly,the street community and residential committee have focused on relying on grass-roots health organizations,attaching importance to health publicity and education,and strengthening typical demonstration and leadership,and have carried out extensive publicity and effective mobilization.During this period,the health and epidemic prevention work of street community and residential committee not only greatly improved the overall health situation of the city,but also achieved remarkable results in the multi-level construction of grass-roots health organizations,the formation and improvement of basic health systems,the enhancement of public health awareness and the cultivation of health habits,laying the foundation for the organization,system and concept of urban health governance in the future.
