摘要
针对分离式塑料闪烁体固体阵列反中微子探测器建立了光学模型,进行了精细化MC模拟。模拟结果与实验结果对比验证了模型的正确性。通过精细化MC模拟,对探测器阵列内IBD事件的能量响应和时间响应做了定量分析。根据阵列探测器分离式的结构特点,设置了多维度的甄别条件,计算了探测器阵列的IBD事件甄别效率为4.31%。此外还分析了甄别条件的抗本底能力,探讨了甄别缪子事件和快中子事件的方法,快中子剔除效率达到99.80%。
A detailed Monte Carlo(MC)simulation with an optical physics model of a 4×4 segmented plastic scintillator antineutrino detector array is carried out.The simulation results with optical photon processes are compared with the experimental results to verify the performance and correctness of the MC model.Through the detailed MC simulation,the energy response and time response of the detector array to the IBD events are quantitatively analyzed respectively.Multi-dimensional selection criteria are designed based on the segmented structural feature of the detector array.The IBD event selection efficiency of the detector array is calculated to be 4.31%.In addition,the background rejection ability of the selection criteria is analyzed,and methods to reject the muon events and fast neutron events are proposed.The fast neutron rejection efficiency of the selection criteria reaches 99.80%.
