The Brexit negotiations have profoundly affected the process of European integration.In the theory of European integration,the emerging precedent of the Brexit negotiations almost completely ended all previous European integration theories,and the EU could not establish an appropriate theory to promote European integration in the short run.More importantly,the Brexit negotiations are triggering new changes in EU geopolitics from the“extension”and“connotation”,impacting the EU's single market model and squeezing the growing illusion of European citizenship.The EU systems,which have been slowly established for decades,are experiencing an encounter with the re-emerged national-state framework of the United Kingdom,and the European integration cause has hanged in the air temporarily.
