“水花”是湖北土陶特有的装饰技法,类似于传统陶艺中的“划花”。在湖北马口、蕲春、蔡家山窑场,用这一技巧装饰的器物尤为多见。“水花”技法长于快速表现,具有恣意潇洒、灵动多变的特点,其题材通常是花鸟虫鱼、地域风貌和社会文化。这一独特的“视觉语言”使得土陶器物具有既简约概括又灵活多变,既质朴纯真又多情浪漫的特点。

“Shuihua”is a unique decorative technique of Hubei pottery,which is similar to“engraving”in traditional pottery making.In Hubei Province,especially in Makou,Qichun,Caijiashan kilns.this technique is commonly used in decorating vessels.The technique of“Shuihua”is good at rapid performance,with unrestrained and flexible characteristics,and its themes are usually flowers.birds,insects,fish,regional style and social culture.The unique“visual language”makes the earthenware simple and concise,while flexible and changeable;plain and pure,while romantic and passionate.
