摘要
作为认知文体学的核心理论之一,脚本理论主要解释语篇中隐性知识结构的认知机制。本文以“脚本发展连续体”为基础,将“个人脚本”分为叙事者的、人物的和读者的,分析戴维·洛奇《小世界》中珀斯爱情脚本的意义。分析发现,珀斯爱情脚本具有跨文本边界和跨时空映射的特点;其“人生—旅途”隐喻凸显了《小世界》的“死亡—重生”主题,也揭示了洛奇的文学理论观和创作观;脚本的多重意义在偏离和多种并置中增强了小说的“文学性”。
Script theory is one of the core theories in Cognitive Stylistics.It is mainly used to explain the cognitive mechanism of tacit knowledge structure in discourse.Based on“A Script Development Continuum”model and the further division of the actor into narrator,characters and readers,the paper investigates the significant meanings of Persse's love scripts in British writer David Lodge's Small World.The analyses show that Persse's love scripts have the characteristics of intertextuality and space-time mapping;the“life-journey”metaphor highlights the novel's“Death-Rebirth”theme,and also reveals Lodge's literary view;and the multiple meanings of Persse's love scripts increase the novel's“literariness”through deviation and juxtaposition.
