John Milton's trilogy,Paradise Lost,Paradise Regained, and Samson Agonistes, reveals a variety of geo-narratives.In Paradise Lost,Satan's north-location implies Milton's racial prejudice in the imagining of the Islam;Satan's successfully seducing Eve to eat the forbidden fruit, related to the countless exotic plants, herbs and fruits in Eden, reflects a kind of fetishism caused by the global traffic at the Great Age of Discovery. The racial and spatial struggle between Samson and Dalila allegorizes the political geography between England and Scotland during the English Civil War.The dark and bright landscapes in Paradise Lost is coherent with the politics of empire in Paradise Regained.Milton's imagination of England serves as the political motive for the geo-narratives in the trilogy.
