The Editing Experience Sharing of the Feature Film Enter the Forbidden City

《进京城》是2016年初拍摄完成的一部关于徽班进京的影片。电影的剪辑工作于同年4月开始,历时近一年完成,前后共剪辑出20余个版本。本文自剪辑视角出发,从素材提取、结构选择以及叙事把控等方面阐述影片由粗剪版本到成片定型的剪辑过程,并在此基础上提炼出以"藏""删""拱"为核心的剪辑技巧。

Made in 2016, Enter the Forbidden City tells a story about how a Hui Opera team brought their performance into capital Beijing. I started the editing work of this film in April 2016 and finished in a year, with over 20 editing versions produced. From the perspective of editing, this essay elaborates the editing process from rough cut to the final version, including the subtraction of material, the choice of structure and the control of narrative. Conceal, omit, enhance are raised as core editing techniques.
