On the Five Influencing Factors in the Development of Basic Disciplines

基础学科是现代科学体系最为基础的部分,主要包括数字科学、物质科学、生命科学和地球与空间科学四大门类。基础学科发展受许多因素的影响,其中基础研究是其发展的必要前提,基础科学是其发展的核心内容,知识重混是其发展的基本方式,学者群体是其发展的必要条件,制度安排是其发展的重要保障。本文拟围绕影响基础学科发展的这五个关键性因素进行论述。

Basic disciplines are the most fundamental parts in the modern scientific system,mainly including four branches of learning namely digital science,material science,life science,and earth and space science.The development of basic disciplines is influenced by multiple factors.Among them,basic research is the necessary prerequisite;basic science is the core content;knowledge remixing is the fundamental approach;communities of scholars are the necessary conditions;and institutional arrangement is the important safeguard.This article discusses how these five key factors influence the development of basis disciplines.
