Macao Literature Award and the Production of“Literary Macao”

在建构澳门地区文学形象的过程中,“文学澳门”是一个重要的维度。但由于澳门地区和澳门地区文学长期形成的边缘地位,来自本土的声音其实是被压抑的。澳门地区文学是一种不被看见的“隐形文学”。1993年筹划设立的中国澳门文学奖,鼓励澳门地区人写澳门地区事,看似在鼓励本土性知识的生产,实际上,由于长期以来各区域文学间的不平等关系及引入了跨域评审机制,中国澳门文学奖所建构的“澳门”,在很大程度上只是域外视角下一种确证想象本身具有合理性的文化构想物。在审美霸权的制约和参赛者的迎合下,一批又一批“自我澳门化”的作品得以生产,最终形成了关于澳门地区的刻板印象。以梁淑淇为代表的部分参赛者,以“无地域空间”写作和“日常生活”书写这两种策略挑战了域外想象澳门地区的话语体系,具有一定的抗辩色彩,但不具备根本的反叛性,其在中国澳门文学奖中所扮演的角色更多是审美霸权的延伸。中国澳门文学奖是澳门地区文学青年晋身文坛的必由之路,考察它的运作机制,有助于理解当代澳门地区作家的局限和澳门地区文坛的困境所在。

In the process of constructing the literary image of Macao region,“literary Macao”is an important dimension.However,due to the long term marginal status of Macao region and Macao region literature,local voices are actually suppressed.Macao region literature is a kind of“invisible literature”that cannot be seen.The Macao,China Literature Award,planned and established in 1993,encourages Macao region people to write about Macao region affairs.It seems to be encouraging the production of local knowledge.In fact,due to the long-standing unequal relationship between literature in various regions and the introduction of a cross regional review mechanism,“Macao”constructed by the award is largely just a cultural construct from an external perspective that confirms the rationality of the imagination itself,Under the constraints of aesthetic hegemony and the catering of contestants,batch after batch of“self-Macaoization”works were produced,eventually forming a stereotype about Macao region.Some contestants,represented by Liang Shuqi,challenged the discourse system of imagining Macao region outside the territory by using two strategies of“non territorial space”writing and“daily life”writing.This behavior has a certain significance of defense,but it is not fundamentally rebellious,which is more of an extension of aesthetic hegemony.The Macao,China Literature Award is the only way for Macao region literary youths to enter the literary world.Examining its operating mechanism will help to understand the limitations of contemporary Macao region writers and the plight of Macao's region literary world.
