学科的研究对象是学科建立与发展的基本问题。城市史学要成为一门学科,需要有不可替代的研究对象。通过对城市史学产生与发展的回顾,文章就将城市作为历史发展的过程与将城市作为地理位置或背景两种趋向的城市史研究作了对比分析,认为城市史学应当将城市的历史过程作为基本研究对象。

to become a discipline,Urban historiography needs to have an irreplaceable object of study.Through the academic review of the emergence and development of urban historiography,the article holds that urban historiography should regard the historical process of the city as its research object.Among them,the process of urbanization is an important content.The sustainable development of urban historiography in China needs to take the contemporary urban history process as an important research object.At the same time,the development of urban historiography needs to establish its own knowledge base and theoretical system,and the formation of subject knowledge methodology.
