Study on the Association of the Travelling Businessmen Group in Shanghai

清末民初是工商业团体组织迅猛发展的阶段。此时,传统的会馆、公所,新兴的公会、行会、商会等工商团体相继成立。其间,1913年成立的旅沪商帮协会是当时十分重要的跨区域性工商业联合组织。本文试图通过对该组织的机构、宗旨、早期活动进行简要梳理,使读者对这一团体增进了解。特别是其在五四运动、三罢斗争和废督裁兵运动中的作用,值得今后进一步梳理。

In the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China,industrial and commercial organizations grew rapidly.Traditional guild halls and associations,and emerging unions,guilds and chambers of commerce were set up one after another,among which the Association of the Travelling Businessmen Group established in 1913 was a fundamental cross-regional organization.This essay tries to make readers learn more about the Association through a brief review of its institution,purpose and early activity.In particular,its role in the May 4 th Movement and the Three Strikes struggle is worthy of further study.
