常州毛家坟明代家族墓发掘简报

Excavation of the Ming Dynasty Family Tombs at the Maojia Tomb in Changzhou

2017年6月,南京博物院、常州市考古研究所对常州钟楼区西林街道马家村东侧的毛家坟墓群进行考古发掘,清理了一处明代家族墓,共13座,大部分为砖室墓,另有3座石室墓,1座竖穴土坑墓。出土有陶、瓷、铜、锡、木、石器共86件(组)。此次发掘为研究常州地区明代丧葬习俗和毛氏家族源流提供了珍贵的实物和文字资料。

In June,2017,the Nanjing Museum and Changzhou Municipal Institute of Archaeology conducted an archaeological excavation of the tombs of the Maojia in the east of Majia village,Xilin street,Zhonglou District,Changzhou,and cleared a family tomb of the Ming Dynasty consisting of 13 tombs.Most of them are brick-chambered tomb,and there are three stone-chambered tomb and one pit tomb.A total of 86 pieces(sets)of pottery,porcelain,copper,tin,wood and stone tools were unearthed.The excavation provides precious material and written materials for the study of the funeral customs of the Ming Dynasty and the origin of the Maos'family in Changzhou.
