摘要
学者的院校和专业出身一直备受关注,甚至被用于预测和评估他们终身的学术前景。那么,学者的出身对学者未来的学术影响力到底有怎样的影响?我们以2005—2017年165名入选“全国会计领军(后备)人才培养工程”的学者为样本,研究本硕博阶段院校和专业出身对学者学术影响力的影响。研究发现:(1)本科院校和专业出身对学者的学术力并未表现出显著影响;(2)硕博院校出身对学者学术影响力有显著正影响;(3)在其他条件不变的情况下,具有跨学科背景的学者表现出更突出的学术影响力。本研究可以为学者职业发展、学术资源配置、人才体系的优化提供依据,为关于出身论的讨论以及世界一流高校的建设提供参考。
The academic and professional background of scholars have attracted too much attention,and even been used to predict and evaluate their academic prospects.However,how does scholars’academic background affects their academic influence in the future?Using a sample of 165 scholars selected into the National Accounting Leading Talent Training Program from 2005 to 2017,we study the impact of academic and professional background on scholars’academic influence.Our study finds that:(1)Undergraduate colleges and professional background do not have significant impact on the academic ability of scholars.(2)The master’s and doctoral education background has a positively and significant impact on scholars’academic influence.(3)Ceteris paribus,scholars with interdisciplinary background have more prominent academic influence.Our findings provide guidelines for the career development of scholars,academic resource allocation,and the optimization of talent system.Our study also contribute to the debates about the relationship between academic background and academic achievements and offer insights on building world-class universities.
