STEM包括四门学科,其在小学科学课程中的应用主要是为了帮助学生更好地认识世界,对自然界中的客观规律做出合理的解释,其包含科学、技术、工程和数学。STEM教育与小学科学课程资源整合的必要之处在于,其一方面是对于低学龄阶段学生基础科学素养的培养,另一方面也是对学生技术素养、工程素养、数学素养的培养。

STEM includes four subjects.Its application in primary science courses is mainly to help students better understand the world and make reasonable explanations of objective laws in nature,including science,technology,engineering and mathematics.The integration of STEM education and primary science curriculum resources is necessary.On the one hand,it is to cultivate the basic science literacy of students at the low school age,and on the other hand,it is also to cultivate students’technical literacy,engineering literacy,and mathematics literacy.
