Biopolitics of Capitalist Time Control

从福柯一直延续到阿甘本的生命政治学,其理论实质是在生命权力的视域下对现代资本主义治理术的重新考察。在福柯看来,资本主义治理术主要体现为空间意义上微观权力的布展,通过将个人全方位地暴露在公共视线之中而实现对个体行为的规训,其典型场所是监狱。

Time control is an important dimension of biopolitics of modern capitalist society.InDas Kapital and his manuscript,Marx reveals the triple mechanisms of capitalist time control:the first mechanism is the materialization of labor time.This mechanism fundamentally established the dominant position of time quantification.As a hidden compulsion of economic relations,it is not only the basis of time control,but also its the primary form.The second mechanism is the encroachment of free time.The encroachment of free time by capital suppresses the life matrix of workers,and makes free time to be the extension and deformation of labor time,the control of time is a kind of zero-sum game of capital and labor.And the third mechanism is the deformation of free time.As a supplement to the encroachment mechanism,capital fills"the need of historical formation"in the free time of workers,makes them fall into the illusion of individual liberation,dispels their will to struggle,and realizes the"reconciliation"between capital and labor.The triple mechanisms of time control are complementary each other,shaping the working class as the"tamed subject",who obey the rule of capital logic,that will lead to the deconstruction of the revolutionary subjectivity.
