Literary works themselves have a historical responsibility,and writers consciously assume the responsibility of writing history when constructing the content of works,such as Yu Yongduo’s novel Above th e Blue Bay.His characters and stories that clash with the times extend the historical development context,and this historical carrying capacity constitutes the mission of the work’s expression.The novel shows the inevitability of historical and social evolution,which is integrated into the writer’s philosophical reflections on time.In addition,this paper believes that the writer adopts a two-line structure and a fantastic narrative presentation method,trying to transcend the expressions of previous novels restricted by the specific time and experience,in order to achieve the purpose of providing readers with broader reading space.
