研发创新驱动产业迈向全球价值链中高端——来自中国制造产业的经验证据 被引量:5

R&D Innovation Drives Industry to the Mid - to - highEnd of Global Value Chains: Empirical Evidencefrom China's Manufacturing Industry

摘要 建设制造强国面临的全球性竞争本质上是对全球价值链主导地位的竞争,而研发创新是我国制造业全球价值链攀升的关键路径。本文基于中国制造业产业面板数据对研发投入与全球价值链地位的关系进行了分析,研究发现:制造业研发投入增加显著促进了其全球价值链攀升;交互效应分析表明,当各产业研发投入处于经验均值水平时,高技能劳动力占比和产业制度质量提高均有助于促进制造业迈向全球价值链中高端,外商直接投资(FDI)流入的低端锁定效应阻碍了全球价值链攀升;从异质性估计来看,研发投入程度较低产业由于本身技术改造空间较大,其增加研发投入所带来的全球价值链地位提高效果显著大于研发投入程度较高产业;机制检验表明,产业技术创新是研发投入推动全球价值链迈向中高端的重要中介。研究结论为推动我国制造强国建设和参与全球价值链治理提供了有益启示。 The global competition to build a strength manufacturing country is essentially a competition for global value chains(GVCs)dominance,and R&D innovation is the key way to improve GVCs status of China's manufacturing industry.Based on China's manufacturing industry panel data,this paper analyzes the relationship between R&D input and GVCs status.The results show that:(1)The increase in manufacturing R&D input significantly increases its GVCs status.(2)From the interaction effect,in the empirical average level of R&D input,the increase of both high skilled labor force and system quality promote the manufacturing industry to move towards the mid-to-high end of GVCs,and the low-end locking effect of FDI is detrimental to GVCs.(3)In terms of heterogeneity,because of the larger technical transformation space,GVCs status enhancement of increasing R&D input is more effective in low R&D intensity industries compare with the high.(4)From the mechanism test,industrial technological innovation is an important intermediary between R&D input and GVCs climbing.The research conclusion provides useful inspirations for China's manufacturing power construction and GVCs governance.
