Theory of Digital Information

本文以波普尔提出的三元世界为参照系,分析了信息、知识与智能等概念的关系,回溯了信息数字化(二进制编码化)的过程,分析了香农对信息和含义进行的分离,以语义信息的理解为基础,澄清了对于包括数字经济在内的一些信息现象的认识,并分析了数字化给知识和信息世界带来的变化以及人工智能发展的可能前景,提出了数字化信息世界的膨胀带来三元世界的失衡、语义信息不对称永恒存在、语义信息处理效率跟不上数字化的语法信息处理效率等认识。

Taking the Popper triad of the world as a frame of reference,the relations among information,knowledge,intelligence and related concept are analyzed.The source of the term digital and the development process ofinformation digitization(binary coded),communication and computering are reviewed,the separation of meaning from information by Shannon is analyzed.Based on the understanding of semantic information,the understanding of some information phenomena including digital economy is clarified,the change of the knowledge and information world influenced by digital technology and the prospect of artificial intelligence are analyzed.Several conclusions including that the expansion of digital information world induces the unbalance of ternary world,the asymmetry of semantic information is eternal,and the processing efficiency of semantic information falls behind the efficiency of grammatical information promoted by digital technology are deduced.
