英美主流媒体涉藏报道偏见及其表述逻辑——基于2018—2022年的文本分析

Research on the Expression Logic and Deconstruction of British and American Mainstream Media Reports on Xizang——Based on the Report Text Analysis of 2018—2022

加强对英美主流媒体涉藏议题的报道偏见与应对策略研究,对防范化解我国民族领域重大风险隐患和维护国家安全等具有重要意义。文章采用大数据挖掘和文本分析方式,对2018—2022年美国《纽约时报》《华盛顿邮报》和美国有线电视网(CNN),以及英国路透社、《泰晤士报》和英国广播公司(BBC)6家极具代表性的英美主流媒体的涉藏报道内容作了初步分析,发现英美主流媒体涉藏报道在信源、议题、情感倾向、新闻话语和表达手法方面呈现出一些共同的特征,认为体制差异下的固化偏见、哗众取宠下的商业吸引以及“普世价值”下的道德绑架,是这些媒体偏见报道的主要表述逻辑。最后从四个方面提出了针对性的应对策略。

It is of great significance to strengthen the research on the reporting bias and coping strategies of the mainstream media in Britain and the United States on issues related to Xizang,so as to prevent and resolve major risks in China's ethnic areas and safeguard national security.The article uses big data mining and text analysis to systematically analyze the Xizang-related reports of six representative British and American mainstream media,including The New York Times,The Washington Post,CNN,Reuters,The Times and BBC,from 2018 to 2022.It is found that the British and American mainstream media's reports on Xizang have shown five specific characteristics in terms of information sources,issues,emotional tendencies,news discourse and expression techniques.The solidified prejudice under institutional differences,the commercial attraction under grandstanding,and the moral kidnapping under universal values are the main expression logic of their report value prejudice.And the author puts forward targeted coping strategies from four aspects.
