江西兴国人氏的欧阳无畏,在中国内地39年,在台湾地区39年。1932年夏,欧阳无畏自冯庸大学毕业后,自北平入青海西宁,旋即成为“入藏巡礼团”成员。1934年秋,在西藏哲蚌寺出家为喇嘛,屡次代表学院参加三大寺辩经,成为拉萨著名的辩经僧。欧阳无畏前后在拉萨十载光阴,更参研密宗至理,诣臻极境,终获得格西拉让巴最高学位。1952年自印度噶伦堡辗转抵台北后,专心从事藏学教育和藏学研究,写下大量著作,成为台湾地区藏学的先驱,被誉为“台湾藏学之父”。欧阳无畏一生所呈现的传奇生涯和多重身份,使其成为1930年代以来汉藏政治、文化、宗教的时代见证与珍贵缩影。这份欧阳无畏的涉藏经历及藏学研究年表对其一生的重要史迹和学术活动进行了全面的考订。

Ouyang Wuwei,a native of Xingguo,Jiangxi Province,lived in Chinese mainland for 39 years and in Taiwan Province for 39 years.In the summer of 1932,Ouyang Wuwei entered Xining,Qinghai Province from Peking after graduating from Feng Yong University,and immediately became a member of the"Visiting Delegation to Tibet".In the autumn of 1934,he became a monk at the Drepung Monastery in Tibet.He represented his monastery several times in debating the scriptures with the three major Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and became a well-known scripture-debating-monk in Lhasa.Ouyang Wuwei spent ten years in Lhasa,and participated in the study of tantric Buddhism,aiming at perfection,and he was finally awarded the highest degree of Lha ram pa—equivalent to a doctoral degree in modern education in Buddhist philosophy.After arriving in Taipei in 1952 from Kalimpong,India,he devoted himself to Tibetological education and research,wrote a lot of works,became a pioneer of Tibetan studies in Taiwan region,and was known as the father of Tibetology in Taiwan".Ouyang Wuwei's legendary career and multiple identities in his life have made him an epitome of HanTibetan politics,culture and religions since the 1930s.This chronology of Ouyang Wuwei's experiences related to Tibet and Tibetan studies comprehensively compiled important deeds and academic activities of his life.
