EDITOR’S NOTE

本期专题为“数据驱动设计(Data-driven Design)”。不管是13世纪刘秉忠设计的元大都,还是19世纪塞尔达设计的巴塞罗那,抑或20世纪柯布西耶设计的昌迪加尔,数据及其分析都是设计的关键部分。随着大数据、云计算、物联感知、人工智能、数字孪生等技术的发展,数据及其分析在设计过程和决策之中扮演越来越重要的角色。在很大程度上,社会、经济、环境、文化等因素与形式设计之间互动的机制逐步被更为精准地揭示,从人的视角去生成设计的过程也被数字化加速赋能,激发了更为多元的设计创新。

The theme of this issue is“Data-driven Design”.Whether Yuan Dadu designed by Liu Bingzhong in the 13th century,Barcelona by Cerdàin the 19th century,or Chandigarh by Corbusier in the 20th century,had included the key part of data-related analyses.With the rapid development of big data,cloud computing,IoT sensing,artificial intelligence,digital twins and others,data and related analyses play an increasingly important role in the design procedure and decision-making.To a large extent,the mechanism of interaction between social,economic,environmental,cultural and other factors and physical design has gradually been revealed more accurately,and the generative process of designing,from a point of view of human being,has also been accelerated by such digitalization,stimulating more diversified design innovation.
