Creativity is the external representation of the mind.This article elaborated the methods of training the thought of innovation in the process of urban design teaching.It summarizes the thinking characteristics of the creative process and the thinking methods of the creative process.the basic structure of innovation ability.According to the teaching process of urban design,it combines the distantly characteristic of creative thinking with the training method of creative ability.It summarizes the work points and thinking rules of different stages of urban design teaching.It put forward the cultivation method of the cause,effect view as is view and the overall view.
