根据2013年广东省第一次水利普查公报数据显示,广东省境内现有水库8408座,其中小型水库8026座,占比例95.5%。目前,广东省境内许多小型水库存在病险问题,可能造成经济损失的小型水库防洪库容高达3.6×10^(8)m^(3)。由于小型水库存在着各种病险问题,大部分的小型水库无法投入使用,很难发挥经济效益,不仅直接影响了小型水库经济效益,而且还威胁着周围居民的生命财产安全。
