Suzhou:Classical Gardens On The Water

拥有近2500年历史的苏州,位于中国东部江苏省的东南边缘。它北邻长江,东临上海市,南倚浙江省,西望太湖。被誉为"东方威尼斯"的苏州已成为中国水乡的代名词。苏州的海拔仅4米,整座城市近一半的区域被水覆盖。中国有句古话:小桥,流水,人家。

With a history of nearly 2,500 years,Suzhou is located along the southeastern edge(边缘)of Jiangsu Province in eastern China.It is bordered by the Yangtze River in the north,Shanghai to its east,Zhejiang Province to its south,and Lake Taihu in the west.Known as the“Venice of the East”,the water city has become the city name for Suzhou in China.Suzhou is only four meters above sea level,and almost half of the city is covered by water.
