勇敢的跳跃

The Big Leap

原本站在"跳台"上因为恐高而犹豫迟疑的主人公,在看到小伙伴遇险后,放下恐惧,果敢地跳入水中救起同伴。起跳的那一刻,他战胜了恐惧,也战胜了自我。我有些恐高。虽然我可以登上一座高楼或一架飞机,但如果从悬崖边或树上往下看,我就会觉得头晕。之所以提到这一点,是因为它与我要讲述的这个发生在几年前的故事有很大关系。那时,我和朋友们常常在湖边玩耍。

I don’t like heights.I don’t mind being in a tall building or on a plane.But looking out over the edge(边缘)of a cliff(悬崖),or even down from a tree,makes me feel a little dizzy.I mention this because it has a lot to do with something that happened to me a few years ago.I was with my friends at a lake,and we were having a good time swimming,canoeing,and playing cards.
