中国古代的春秋战国时期,出现了道家学派。道家学派有个代表人物,名叫庄周,后世称他为庄子。有一天,庄子和好朋友惠子来到河边散步。经过一座小桥时,他们看见一些鱼儿在水里游来游去,便停下脚步。庄子看了一会儿,对惠子说:"这些小鱼在水里自由自在地游来游去,多么快乐啊!"惠子说:"你又不是鱼,你怎么知道鱼快乐呢?"

During the Spring and Autumn Period(770 BC–476 BC)through to the Warring States Period(475 BC–221 BC)in ancient China,there was a Taoist(道教的)school of philosophy.A representative of Taoism was Zhuang Zhou(庄周),known as Zhuangzi(庄子)in history.One day,Zhuangzi and his friend Huizi(惠子)strolled down to a river.Crossing it by a small bridge,they stopped to gaze down at some fish swimming in the water.
