With the continuous progress of science and technology,traditional basic surveying and mapping technology has gradually failed to meet the growing demand,and the emergence of new basic surveying and mapping technology has become an important way to solve this problem.This paper lists the limitations and shortcomings of traditional surveying and mapping technologies,focuses on new basic surveying and mapping technologies,including GPS,satellite remote sensing technology,unmanned aerial vehicle surveying and mapping,etc.,and discusses the application of these new technologies in land management,urban planning,environmental monitoring,etc.,and points out the advantages in improving the efficiency of surveying and mapping,accuracy,and data processing capability,and looks forward to the development trend of the new basic surveying and mapping technologies in the future.The development trend of future new basic mapping technology is outlooked,and suggestions for further research and application are put forward,with a view to providing reference for research and practice in related fields.
