《丰歉年略》:晚清山陕两地粮价变动与民生图景

“A Brief Almanac of Good & Lean Years”: Fluctuation of Grain Price and a Picture of the People’s Livelihood in Shanxi and Sha’anxi Provinces in Late Qing Dynasty

通过对晚清山西晋南地方商人王欢乐《丰歉年略》一书的解读,分析晚清山陕两地粮价涨跌现象及变动原因,并勾勒旱涝灾害和兵燹人祸之下的乡民日常生活,进而充分展现晚清灾荒与地方社会之间的互动关系。其中,王欢乐基于从商经历而生成的诸多感悟,既暗涵了晚清时局的动荡性,又凸显了官民应灾的有限性。而以《丰歉年略》中的民间灾荒记忆为基点,检视政府救灾的实效性和官方记录的片面性,成为该文本应有之价值。

through the late Qing dynasty Shanxi Jinnan local merchant Wang huanle’s book called"A Brief Almanac of Good&Lean Years",analysis of the late Qing Shanxi-Shaanxi two price fluctuation phenomenon and the cause of the change,and reveal the people’s livelihood under the disasters such as draught,flood and war,and then fully show the late Qing famine and the interaction between the local society.Among them,Wang huanle’s many insights based on his business experience not only implied the turbulence of the late Qing dynasty,but also highlighted the people’s inability to respond to disasters.Based on the folk disaster memory in the book,it is of great value to examine the effectiveness of government relief and the one-sidedness of official records.
