基于语料库的TED环境类演讲中的概念隐喻研究

A Corpus-Based Study of the Conceptual Metaphors in the TED Speech on Environment

以概念隐喻理论为指导,在TED平台上选取20篇环境类演讲文本(2019-2021年)作为语料,自建单语小型语料库,利用语料库分析软件AntConc4.0.5对语料中隐喻表达的关键词进行检索,采用定性和定量相结合的方法分析概念隐喻在环境类演讲中的应用,即各种隐喻的使用频率、映射关系、认知基础和语言实现形式。研究发现,这些隐喻表达具有信息传播和情感引导的功能,丰富了概念隐喻在演讲中的运用,同时帮助听众更好地了解当前环境情况,关注环境保护。

Guided by conceptual metaphor theory,this research selects 20 speeches on environment from TED(2019-2021)as corpus,and creates a small monolingual corpus to retrieve the metaphorical keywords by the corpus analysis software AntConc4.0.5.It also analyzes the application of conceptual metaphor in the speech on environment by the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis,i.e.the frequency of use,mapping relationships,cognitive basis,and forms of linguistic realizations.At the same time,this research also found that these metaphorical expressions possess the function of information dissemination and emotional guidance.This study enriches the use of conceptual metaphors in speeches,and meanwhile helps the audience understand the present environmental situation better to arouse more attention to environmental protection.
