摘要
对《中国大学生英汉汉英口笔译语料库》(PACCEL)中英汉汉英口译的自我修正进行对比研究,能够用数据呈现学习者在英汉汉英口译时的具体表现,分析他们在口译活动中面临问题的类型和分布。研究结果显示:中高水平比低水平的口译者在启动自我修正时会更多地使用话语标记词进行填充,以保证语流的连贯,极少使用较长停顿来完全中断语流;男性口译者对自我修正方式无偏向性,而女性口译者则较多地选择有声语流中断来启动自我修正。
A comparative study of the self-correction of English-Chinese and Chinese-English interpretation in PACCEL for Chinese college students can help present learners’specific performance in English-Chinese and Chinese-English interpretation with data,and also help analyze the types and distribution of problems they face in interpreting activities.The research results show that:Intermediate and high-level interpreters use discourse markers more to fill in when they start self-correction to ensure the coherence of speech flow,and rarely use longer pauses to completely interrupt speech flow.Male interpreters are not biased towards self-correction methods,while female interpreters are more likely to choose interruptions in speech flow to initiate self-correction.
