The demand of retrofitting exhaust gas cleaning system on the operating ships is increasing as the approach of the entry into force of ship sulfur emission regulations.Through the analysis of the problems encountered in the retrofitting design of the hybrid type exhaust gas system for a certain type of cargo ship,reasonable and convenient solutions are provided in the aspects of equipment arrangement,general design,structural strength,machinery piping system,electrical system,model scanning,and production design.It provides reference for the design of other exhaust gas cleaning system retrofitting projects.
