The Modern Chinese Dictionary(Sixth edition)was reported by tens of scholars in Beijing for violation of Law on the Standard Spoken and Written Chinese Language of the People’s Republic of China for including a large quantity of foreign abbreviations.The essence of loan-word lending is to realize the“phonetic morphing”,which is converting from the pronunciation of source language to target language through phonetic symbols of target language.The prerequisite for the foreign abbreviations to achieve the“phonetic conversion”from foreign to Chinese is that Chinese language should equip with a set of phonetic symbols with Latin letters,which Chinese has already have,and are pronounced as converting sound with Chinesized English letters.The fact that Latin letters serve as Chinese phonetic symbols is a well-established fact,while“letter form translation”is an inevitable way of borrowing foreign words.
