日据时期厦门的“台湾籍民”与厦台经贸关系(1895—1937)

“ Taiwan residents” in Xiamen and Economic and Trade Relations between Xiamen and Taiwan during the Period of Japanese Rule(1895—1937)

厦门与台湾地区的经贸交流源远流长。台湾地区被日本割占后,为数众多的台湾地区人西渡厦门发展,在厦台经贸交流中扮演重要角色。在厦门的“台湾地区籍民”以从事商业活动为主,经营日货经台湾地区转口厦门的贸易,也有人从事制造业、交通运输业和农林矿渔业。除此之外,有相当部分“台湾地区籍民”进行走私活动。他们利用台湾地区总督府指定的大阪商船航线和帆船、电船,从台湾地区向厦门走私日货,还走私白银。出于日本对华经济侵略和扩张势力的图谋,台湾地区总督府和日本驻厦门领事馆纵容庇护“台湾地区籍民”走私,使“台湾地区籍民”的走私活动日益猖獗,对台、厦间的合法贸易造成较大冲击。

The economic and trade exchanges between Xiamen and Taiwan region have a long history.After Taiwan region was occupied by Japan,a large number of Taiwan region residents people crossed to Xiamen for development,and have played an important role in the economic and trade exchanges between Xiamen and Taiwan region.The“Taiwan residents”in Xiamen were mainly engaged in commercial activities,operating the re-export of Japanese goods through Taiwan region to Xiamen,while others were engaged in manufacturing,transportation,agriculture,forestry,mining and fisheries.In addition,a considerable number of“Taiwan residents”carried out smuggling activities.They used the Osaka merchant shipping routes designated by the Governor-General’s Office of Taiwan region,as well as sailing ships and electric ships,to smuggle Japanese goods from Taiwan region to Xiamen and to smuggle silver from Xiamen to Taiwan region.Out of Japan’s intention to invade China economically and expand its power,the Governor-General’s Office of Taiwan region and the Japanese Consulate in Xiamen had condoned and sheltered smuggling by“Taiwan residents”,causing the smuggling activities to become increasingly rampant and affecting the legitimate trade between Taiwan region and Xiamen.
