为了忘却的纪念——巴赫金狂欢诗学理论视域下的《上海舞》

For the Forgotten Commemoration—Shanghai Dancing From the Perspective of Bakhtin's Carnival Poetics

澳大利亚华裔作家布赖恩·卡斯特罗笔下的《上海舞》是一部虚构性自传作品。作者通过蒙太奇般的跳跃式描写,讲述了他的家族在上海的跌宕起伏。这让人醉生梦死的上海舞是人们忘却过去的一种方式,如同一场巴赫金式的狂欢。本文在巴赫金狂欢诗学理论视域下,从人物塑造、语言文化以及时空转换三个方面,探讨《上海舞》中的狂欢化特征。结果表明:纷繁复杂的人物世界以及多样化的人物塑造,构成了一种狂欢式的孤独;言语交际和非言语交际的写作方法使各国文化相互交融,呈现自由平等的狂欢世界;时间和空间的跳跃式叙述带领读者打破时空的界限,在一定程度上也体现了巴赫金式的狂欢。

Shanghai Dancing,written by Chinese Australian writer Brian Castro,is a fictional autobiography.The author describes his family’s back and forth dancing in Shanghai through the way of montage description.The dream life of Shanghai dancing is an approach for people to forget the past,just like Bakhtin’s carnival.This paper,from the perspective of Bakhtin’s carnival poetics,explores the carnival characteristics in Shanghai Dancing from characterization,language and culture,transformation of time and space.Results indicate that the complex world and diverse characters constitute a carnival style of loneliness;the writing methods of verbal communication and nonverbal communication blend the cultures of various countries,presenting a free and fair carnival world;the jumping descriptions of time and space break the boundaries and to some extent reflect the Bakhtin-style carnival.
