摘要
随着科技的不断发展进步,网络和远程课程也因其低成本、灵活的自主学习和大量的可选内容而得到了广泛重视。尽管远程(网络)学生的注册人数呈上升趋势,但有关此类课程的质量问题一直存在争议。本文旨在以密歇根州立大学孔子学院开发的一套网络中文项目为例来探讨美国目前远程(网络)项目的评估和质量监控问题。通过对密歇根州立大学孔子学院网络中文项目的相关设计理念和过程的描述以及对美国目前可供选择的质量监控和评估的探讨,本文针对网络课程项目的评估和质量监控问题介绍了相关指导原则和标准,并提出了切实可行的建议。
With the proliferation of technology,online and distance courses are becoming more and more popular due to their cost-effectiveness,self-paced learning flexibility,and a large variety of courses to choose from.Although the number of student enrollment shows an increasing trend,the quality of online courses is still under scrutiny.This paper focuses on the program evaluation and quality assurance issue based on the description and analysis of an online Chinese program developed by the Confucius Institute at Michigan State University(CI-MSU).By exploring relevant design and procedures of the CI-MSU’s online Chinese program and available options for quality assurance and evaluation in the United States,the paper provides guidelines,standards,as well as practical suggestions for online course program evaluation and quality assurance.
