历史、考古、文学等文献资料证明,中华文化在新疆的传播与传承源远流长。最早在周穆王时期,西域就有汉语诗歌的创作。西汉统一西域、设立西域都护府之后的2000多年来,在新疆各民族人民中就出现了学习汉语、学习儒家经典著作情况,这从出土的木简、文书、佛经、墓志、壁画等可以得到确证。新疆各民族在历史发展进程中,创作或翻译了相当数量的诗、词、文等作品,使西域文化与中原文化互相融通,共同成为中华文化的重要组成部分,是铸牢中华民族共同体意识的思想基础。
