This paper expounds Professor Zhao Jinxi’s understanding of the pathogenesis and treatment rules of diabetes.Professor Zhao Jinxi believes that the main pathogenesis of diabetes is internal heat,so he advocates that the treatment should focus on internal heat.According to clinical experience,he puts forward the treatment plan of integrated Chinese and western medicine and the trinity diagnosis and treatment model of distinguishing constitution,disease and syndrome differentiation.The clinical application obtained significantly curative effect.
