Revolutionary Genes and Artistic Heritage——The Spirit of Sister Jiang at the Shanghai Opera House

"红岩上红梅开,千里冰霜脚下踩,三九严寒何所惧,一片丹心向阳开。"伴着《红梅赞》的旋律,《江姐》就像红岩上傲立雪中的红梅一样,在当代中国文艺史上光彩夺目,让人们收获了感动、坚定了信仰、凝聚了力量。1961年,作家罗广斌、杨益言根据重庆地下党员的事迹,创作了长篇小说《红岩》。1964年,中国人民解放军空军政治部文工团将《红岩》中有关江姐的故事搬上了歌剧舞台。

The Shanghai Opera House was one of the first institutions to put on Sister Jiang,which still remains in its repertory.Since the 1990 s,the Shanghai Opera House has staged Sister Jiang annually on July 1 to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Communist Party.During the decades since its premiere,the Shanghai Opera House has cultivated six generations of Sister Jiangs.Through the years,frequent reprises of the role have moved and influenced countless operagoers.
