中国视觉传播的研究源起、学术进路与知识谱系(1986-2022)

The Research Origin,Academic Approach and Knowledge Pedigree of Visual Communication in China(1986-2022)

本文试图综合不同的知识研究方法,依次探讨中国的视觉传播研究“如何发生、经历了怎样的发展和有哪些发现?”:首先,在知识社会学视角下,追溯国内视觉传播研究的起源问题,分析其产生于新闻摄影与艺术设计等应用领域的深层原因,及其从策论研究到理论建构的早期历程;其次,基于文献计量学路径,梳理国内视觉传播研究的发展脉络,特别是其核心问题域在媒介形态演进中的变与不变,以及新闻传播学、艺术学、文化学等不同学科所生产相关知识之间的逻辑关系;继而,借助知识谱系学思路,从本体和方法两个维度勾勒国内视觉传播研究的理论建树;最终,基于上述探讨总结现有研究的得失,及其对未来研究的学理启示。

This paper attempts to integrate different knowledge research methods to explore the issues of“how did the research of visual communication in China happen,what kind of development has it gone through and what are the findings?”.Firstly,from the perspective of sociology of knowledge,this paper traces the origin of domestic visual communication research,analyzes the deep reasons why it came into being in the applied disciplines such as news photography and art design,and its early evolution from application research to theoretical construction.Secondly,based on the path of bibliometrics,the paper reviews the development of domestic visual communication research,especially the changes and invariances of its core problem domains in the evolution of media forms,as well as the logical relationship between related knowledge produced by different disciplines such as journalism and communication,art and culturology.Then,with the help of the idea of knowledge genealogy,the paper outlines the theoretical achievements of domestic visual communication research from two dimensions of ontology and methodology.Finally,based on the above discussion,this paper summarizes the gains and losses of the existing research and its theoretical enlightenment for the future research of visual communication.
